Using Psychedelics Safely

I talk about using psychedelic drugs but I cannot stress enough that if you are planning on using them, only do so in a safe manner. Always make sure you are informed about the substance you are going to be using so as you do not take too much and either overdose or simply have a really bad time depending on the substance. Also try to make sure that if you are doing it for your first time, you are with others and at least one sober person so that if something were to happen like having a bad physical reaction or a bad trip, that there is a level headed person there to either calm you down or take you to the hospital if necessary. When doing new substances the best way to test its effects is using small amounts and seeing what is a good amount for you. What might be the right amount for your friend may be too much or too little for you, so to air on the side of caution, do a small amount and work your way up. More important than anything however is simply to research and be informed. It is the easiest way to judge a substance and stay safe. Erowid.org is a great site for getting pharmacological information and being able to read about other peoples experiences on whatever substance you're looking for.
